Deep-Fried Turkey and All The Fixings

This year was a very different Thanksgiving than what I am used to. Usually there is a loud bustle of everyone trying to get to the food at once, while aunts and uncles ask each cousin a million times how school/work is and 'let's catch up on life.' This year, there was very little of that. Instead of going home for Thanksgiving, I ended up spending the holiday in Florida with Joe and his family.

The entire Delin/Stettner/Glennon family (plus Bailey) minus myself and Sarah.
While there were no screaming cousins, there were some family friends, and his family always treats me like one of their own. A highlight of the day, was that Joe and his dad deep-fried a turkey and thankfully did not burn the house down. I also successfully make Grandma's coffee cake, which everyone loved (of course).

The world-famous coffee cake :)
For Black Friday, I had my first stint in the retail world. Know, after working my one shift at Express, I can cross retail off my list as a job. Will I go back and work? Maybe, but not its not high on my list haha.

I did however, have an interview this past week and I think it went really well, so now it is just a wait and see. It is hard to believe that it is already December, but hopefully I will find something by the end of the year, and if not, January 1 is the start of something new.
