Who doesn't love getting visitors?

I love having visitors, even when I have to work the majority of their visit. A few weeks ago Katie and Joy told me they were coming to visit- to get away from the cold and a belated birthday celebration. Since I don't get home very often, having them come to sunny Florida, was a welcomed trip.
I'm just gonna leave this here, because who doesn't love looking at this face?
The girls flew in on Friday and since I worked all day, they spent the day browsing around Ft Lauderdale. When they got to Wellington we went to Santa Rita for what is now going to be a monthly asado. They didn't understand that was my version of a BBQ and I think were a little overwhelmed. We had a good time and just had time to catch up since Christmas.

After we dropped off their rental car Saturday morning, which was super hard to find, I took them to brunch at Keke's. Then Katie had some work to do in the apartment while Joy and I sunbathed at the pool before my afternoon game at Grand Champions. They came and watched their first polo match and said they enjoyed it. Joy is getting more adventurous and even wanted to ride (I'm so proud of her).
Don't knock it down!
In traditional get-together fashion, we had to have one night of going out, so we went downtown for dinner to Rocco's and then checked out the Tap House. They had a giant Jenga set and board games which we ended up playing for a few hours. Not our normal, let's go dancing, but we had so much fun being little kids.

Our version of a fancy dinner
Sunday was a full work day for me, so the girls went to Miami. Then since it was Super Bowl Sunday, we had a grown-up girls night in with cheese and crackers and wine and pretended we were fancy. (On the couch in pjs of course).

Monday was the perfect beach day before heading off to the airport and back to real life. They were headed back north just in time for a super snow storm, as the northeast is getting hammered with inches upon inches of snow. I love the heat and the constant sun but I do miss a good old snow day. Not the brutal cold, but the snow I definitely miss.

Joe surprised me and gave me an early Valentine's Day present. He went to pick up my birthday gift certificate at the salon and I now have a full massage and chocolate facial :) I'm super excited. Like I mentioned before, I've never had a facial but now that it involves chocolate, what could go wrong?
