Here Comes The Bride
“You make me happier than I ever thought I could be, and if you let me I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way.” -Chandler proposing to Monica on TV show Friends
That quote may be cheesy in all that it is, but it's very appropriate for the past weekend. The time finally came and Kelsey's wedding weekend was here. I flew home Friday morning and the wedding festivities began. I still can't believe she's married, and now no longer Kelsey George. The weekend could not have been more perfect and she looked absolutely stunning.
Friday night was the "rehearsal" dinner, more so just a pre-wedding dinner for the bridal party and out-of-town guests. Dinner was so good and the perfect opportunity to meet the remaining bridesmaids and groomsman. We all stayed at the George's house so we could be up bright and early Saturday morning to start the wedding day.
Kelsey was a ball of nerves, but once we started getting hair and makeup, she settled down and started having a good time. The girls who came to the house from the salon were fantastic- they did such a great job on all of us and flew through in no time at all. As soon as Kelsey put her dress on, she looked like a princess and of course the tears started haha. I mean, we grew up together and she was getting married.
The ceremony was beautiful and their vows made everyone cry. The venue was perfect for them and everything from where we took photos, to the details on her dress, were made for her. Kelsey and her dad even had a choreographed father/daughter dance- very cute.
The entire weekend was picture perfect. I can't wait to hear about their honeymoon and see photos from the weeding. It was so nice to be able to see everyone- I got to see the Millstone crew, spend some time with mom and dad, and of course, visit Pudge.
Now, the countdown is on until I go to Iceland!
