High-Goal Season, Graduate Classes and Ponies

I know it's been a while and I have not been very good with updating my blog posts. Now that the high-goal season has ended, I should have some more time to breath. Here is a quick wrap-up of my last few weeks.

This season was a whirlwind. The first six weeks of season, working for Anne at the horse show was a crazy mess. I loved every minute of it and wouldn't change that experience for anything. The last half of season was filled with non-stop polo. I love my job and even though it was work every day, I had fun doing it. I learned tons this season and am looking forward to the spring season at Grand Champions and the upcoming summer.

The US Open finals this past Sunday were a lot of work but a lot of fun. We had a pre-game show and broke tons of records, as far as viewership is concerned. I can't say enough good things about everyone I work with and how hard everyone works.

Now that work is calming down a bit, classes are too. I am officially done with my second semester of grad school. Two done, only four more to go. This time next year, I will be signed up for my final semester. Crazy.

The next few weeks will be relatively calm- no class and spring polo and Grand Champions. However, come May 11th, classes start back up for the summer and beginning in July we start traveling for summer polo. May also starts the round of weddings - Sarah's in May, Eric's in July and now Julie (my neighbor from PA and forever attached at the hip) just got engaged and will be married in November.

Joe is amazing. Between flowers for no reason and home-made dinners, (just to name some of the great things he does) I can't say enough times how lucky I am. The Lightning have made it into the playoffs for The Stanley Cup, so if they make it further, he may have a permanent beard :-0

In pony world, I am about to lease another horse, this time directly from Castlewood, one that I have been riding for about the past two months. His name is Lorenzo and he is huge. Like 17.2 huge. A major jump from the little Dixie Cup. He'll eat up a chunk of my money and more of my time, but I'll be a very happy camper to have another horse to ride when I want. George is doing good at home, living the life. Now that it's getting warmer out, he has more time outside, so he is feeling much better. Oh to be a retired pony haha.

It is going to be a crazy summer, but I cannot wait for all the exciting things that are going to happen.
