Is everything really bigger in Texas?

So I have come to find out that not everything is bigger in Texas. Well, from what I was able to see. on Monday, Mike and I took off for the Houston Polo Club with the rest of the ChukkerTV crew. We all left out of Ft. Lauderdale at 3am (not a fan of those super early mornings) and arrived in Houston. From there, after a few snags, we arrived at the club. The rest of the group checked out the field and made their way to the surrounding fields, as they were staying for the week. Mike and I, on the other hand, were there for the day. (not even). We met with Shannon from the USPA to go over some logistics for the broadcasts for the week and other game –related ideas.

We had a quick talk about social promotion for the week , not as much as either of us expected, and then we were on our way back to the airport. So, I guess I can say that I really only saw the polo club, a really pretty park and the airport. The club was nice and there are tons of highways in Houston, but other than what I saw, I wasn’t impressed. Next time I go back, I'll have to be there for longer than just one meeting. The airport was nice though. Huge, and we spent more time in the United Lounge, than in Houston itself. Needless to say, I think my first company trip was a success, but a whirlwind of a trip.

This week is going to be crazy between polo games at the Houston Polo Club, Grand Champions Polo Club, and then we are streaming from Argentina. So much polo!

Outside of work, classes are killing me. I am so ready to be done with the semester. Only four more weeks left to go and I am almost finished. I have tons of projects coming up still so that will be keeping me busy also, as I have been working my butt off in class and outside of it.

All the ponies are good. George is wonderful as usual. He’s very spoiled and I can’t wait to go home in a few weeks and see him. Simon and Orleon have begun their retirement at a barn close to Millstone. They get turned out together and apparently Simon is the bossy one. Lorenzo is fantastic also. He is the best ever and so much fun to jump. I can’t wait to show again and see how we’ve improved.

Benjamin just turned 17 whch blows my mind. How he is that old, I can't wrap my mind around it. Then again, that just means that I’m getting older and I still can't get used to the fact that I'm 26 going on 27. Life is going too fast and it needs to slow down so I can catch up.

That’s a quick wrap up of life down in sunny Florida. Nothing too earth shattering, and I know it’s been a while, but right now, life is just busy.
