2017 was Quite the Rollercoaster

Hard to believe that the year is already gone. I can say that this year was definitely a rollercoaster.

This year, I had some amazing highlights: I was able to celebrate one of my oldest friends getting married and travel the world with my brothers and Grandma. I also had some low points: I let go of one of the most special people in my life and also lost my best (four-legged) friend. I moved (a few times if you count the back and forth), and watched my youngest brother graduate high school. Like I said, 2017 was a bit of a roller coaster.

This year, I'm hoping for life to settle down a bit, even thought I know that will never happen. Especially with everything already planned. My best friend is getting married, mom and Bubby are coming to WEF for season, and hopefully I will be getting a puppy dog.

I just had a quick trip home over Christmas, where the weather was "arctic blast" cold as the weather-man said. It was freezing but I had a great time. I was able to see everyone and we had a Hanukkah party with all my cousins - which was awesome, since we haven't all been together in years. It was s much-needed trip home before the craziness of season starts up.

For New Year's a bunch of us went downtown to a block party on Clematis. I could not have asked for a better group of friends and a better group of people to ring in the new year with. At midnight, we went to the top of the parking deck and had a greta view of the fireworks. My New Year's day wasn't as fun as NYE, recovering from the night before, but then again, I can't complain about spending my last day before season lounging in bed.

Here is to a fantastic 2018! Hope everyone had a good new years!
