No More Time For Excuses

It has been almost six months since I have sat down at my computer to write and that is no excuse.

In the last few months, so many things have happened and how can I condense it all onto a page? (Clearly I need to stay more on top of my writing.) Well, here we go.

Family: Mom and Bubby came down for season which was great. I love having the company since I don't get home very often. Dad come down twice too which was a nice surprise (even for my birthday). Yes, I turned 30- when did that happen? Everyone on the home front is good and I can't wait to get back up north to visit. Plus, I have a new cousin who should be coming any day now :)

Friends: Over New Years, Jason, Kendall, Chris and I took a mini vacation to Savannah (with Kali in tow). We decided that we wanted to start the new year somewhere different and also it would be one of our last vacations without a little one. Kendall is expecting a little girl the end of August :) so we wanted a last hurrah/congrats getaway. The city is amazing - filled with so much history and architecture. Between the food, tours and just general sightseeing, we had a blast. Even with the man selling pants out of his car outside of our AirBnB.

I was the one trusted with the secret for the gender reveal, and yes, I kept the secret. So to everyone who says I can't keep secrets, I am a pro. They were thrilled and I can't wait to spoil Addison.

Life: Oh Boy. Here we go.

New job - I am now working at Mad4Marketing in Fort Lauderdale. It is another full-scale marketing agency, and I am their digital media coordinator. So I am doing all of the paid and organic social, on top of whatever else they need help with. I love it. The company is super small, all women, and everyone is close and is a family. The drive kinda sucks, but a phone call or two and I'm home. I am also still doing a few things for DDG on the side. Staying busy as always.

As mentioned, Kendall and Chris are expecting a little one. As much as we would all love to recreate Full House and be one big happy family, I am leaving the nest and will be one big happy family from down the street. 😉I found the cutest town house, two bed/two bath with a ginormous yard. You would think that I would move closer to work in order to shorten my drive every day. Nope, I'm staying in Wellington and just like last time I moved out of the house, am only moving three minutes down the road. Everything I do is right there and it's going to be perfect. As soon as I'm settled, there will be pictures.

Oh better yet, my lease starts while I am away on my 30 and fabulous trip with Katie and Joy. So there's that. Nothing like trying to pack for a move and pack for a 10-day trip overseas. So I don't know which one has hit me yet. That I am moving into my own place soon or that I leave for London/Greece in four days. The final countdown is here and I can't wait. Expect a million and a half photos from that trip. You know it will be epic.

Last but certainly not least:

I couldn't have asked for a better WEF. At the start of the season, Mom pulled a ligament in her hand (she's ok) but that meant that she wasn't able to ride. Lucky for me, I had all the time in the world to ride and watch her boys. Caden and I had the chance to show not once this year but twice, and the best part, we got second place at WEF. SECOND PLACE!!! We were so close the first week to getting Reserve Champion, but I don't care. He was so much fun this season, I learned so much and we got ribbons!! Now I just need to convince Mom to send him back to Florida full time.

My little love bug (or not so little anymore) is already a year old. How did my little Kahlua, who fit in my lap get so big? She still thinks she's a lap dog and is the biggest cuddle bug, but she is getting bigger. She is so well-behaved (for her age) and yes, filled with non-stop energy. She goes everywhere with me and is even becoming quite the office and barn pup.

Let the photo montage begin 😀
Day one.

Bailey was not so thrilled.

First beach outing.

They are inseparable.

My little model pup.

And yes, Kali had her own birthday party.

More to come when I get back from my trip :) Till then.
