It's Showtime!!
I finally got to show at WEF!!
Super excited but that also makes for super nerves. Even though I wasn't showing my own horse, I was still psyched to be finally putting on show clothes at the biggest show I have been too and have been dying to show at for years. After nine weeks of watching other people show, I finally got my chance to step into the ring.
Today was so much better. We were in the Rost Arena, so I finally made it to the big ring at WEF. I was so excited and felt so much better. And Hampton did too. Our first class, we added in the lines, but I would rather have that, than be running through them. Then in the second class, he was a rock star, but we accidentally did five-strides in the six-stride line. Oops. He was wonderful in the under saddle also, but unless you have a million dollar horse, then you are not going to get a ribbon in the under saddle.
I was a little upset I didn't place in any of the classes, but I am just so happy that I finally got the chance to show at the Winter Equestrian Festival and that he was so good.
Rebecca and Emry did really well too. They didn't get ribbons either, but they rode really well and had perfect fences.
I was stabled with Lane Change Farm, who I have been trying to get as a client. In exchange for a stall, I am going to write up a press release for them and then we will go from there and see what happens. Weeks are flying by and the last few days have been amazing.
