Ribbons ribbons and more ribbons

The last two weeks have been very busy, as I was at the Fieldstone Show Park. Our farm took 15 horses to the show, so we were very busy and very successful. Charlie was very good for his first time out at a big show in a few years. Besides a few mini meltdowns, he was the perfect show horse.

During week one, I was shadowing Anne Gittens, the show photographer. I was able to learn more about photography as well as practice my skills and learn just how much it takes.

Charlie and I showed in the Special Hunters during both weeks, and were super stars in week one. On Friday of last week, we placed sixth in the classic round, and then went on to be reserve champion on Sunday. He was wonderful and looked very handsome all braided.

This past weekend, the show was more of a learning experience than getting ribbons. On Thursday, Charlie had a bit of a meltdown with all the traffic in the ring and the trucks outside. That left me frazzled and a bunch of nerves, so we did not do very well on our classes for the day. However, we went on to perform very well on Saturday, and learn how to get over all the business of the show.

Even with all the horses, people, and traffic, Charlie was very good and the show left us with things to work on.

I also was able to spend two weeks with Kendall, who just bought a house!!! So now we celebrate :) I also saw Rebecca, so it was a Phelps reunion. A few awesome days with amazing people.

Now, its back to work, job hunting, and then down to Florida to see my amazing boyfriend for a few days. --- Look for more photos on Facebook.
