Ponies and polo
So it has been a while since I have had a post strictly about ponies and all that has to do with it. But the past week was filled with horsey activities.
First off, Saturday afternoon I got a call from my mom saying that George had colicked. He had colicked over the summer when I was still home, so my worst fear when I moved was that something would happen and I wouldn't be there. Thankfully, it was just a small impaction and they caught it right away. After a semi-uncomfortable night, my boy is back to normal :) Now I can take a big breath of relief and stop worrying. At least for now. Loree and Mandi (and everyone else) at Middlebranch Farm take the best care of him.
As for the rest of the week....
After I recovered from what I am guessing was some sort of 24-hour stomach bug (I wouldn't wish that on anyone) I was finally able to go try Dixie. This little 13-year old mare is up for lease and I loved her. She is so comfortable and all my worries about being too big on her dissipated. Yes, she has tiny pony feet, and is only a little bigger than a pony, but she has the largest stride and will jump anything.
I have been showing the video to everyone, and now I just need to hope that my mom likes her and then maybe I can try her again and see what happens.
Continuing with the horsey theme, on Saturday I went and spent the afternoon out at the horseshow, as it was the last weekend of WEF. It is amazing how fast season went by, probably because I was never at the show and keeping busy. I watched the first round of the Hunter Derby for a bit, practicing my photo skills, and for not shooting all season, they didn't come out too bad. While I was there, I had an interview/lunch with Pierre Jolicoeur. In the International Tent. He had all the answers typed up to the questions I had given him last week, so basically, we just talked and had lunch. Yes, fan girl moment. I had lunch with Pierre Jolicouer in the International Tent. :)
To top off the weekend of ponies, I went to polo with some of the PMG staff on Sunday afternoon. It was a gorgeous day out so I was very happy spending my day sitting outside eating brunch and watching polo. However, there wasn't too much watching going on, more so of the socializing aspect.
This week is going to be super busy, even though season is over. GPL is this coming weekend, so now is crunch time. Plus, I get to go ride Dixie again tomorrow, so then there will be more news on that :)

| Molly Ashe Cawley and Kenzo ended up winning the Hunter Derby in a jump off during the second round. |
