Ponies, Puppies and.... Hockey?
Yes, Hockey.
For the past few months, every few nights I have been slowly learning the ins and outs of hockey. Joe is a huge Tampa Bay Lightning fan, although even that might be an understatement. Therefore, as I sit and watch, trying to take in what is happening on the TV, he is taking in every second of the game, most times, from the edge of the couch or the table.
All this learning paid off as I knew what was going on when I saw everything in action. This past weekend, Joe and I took an impromptu trip to Tamps for the Lightning vs. Devils game. We got to the stadium and met up with the editor of the website that Joe writes for. Then, we headed to Wet Willies, which is the coolest bar ever. It is all frozen drinks- all my favorite drinks, but frozen. I had heard Joe talk about it before, but now I know why he raved about it.
After getting t-shirts and student tickets, we were in the stadium. And had pretty amazing seats if you ask me. The game was really good, as the Lightning won, 3-0, and Bishop, the goalie, (yes, he has a name) made some record. It was definitely a good game to go to.
Before heading home on Sunday, Joe gave me a tour of USF. The campus is really pretty and bigger than I thought. I guess I expect every school to be smaller than Penn State, but USF came pretty close.
Now, it is unfortunately back to reality. GPL is right around the corner and work is super crazy. Hopefully, I can fit in some pony time :)
