It Is Finally Time to Breath

First off, Happy Belated Birthday to the best horse I could ever ask for. George had his 25th birthday yesterday, and even though I was not home to spoil him, he got lots of treats from everyone at the barn. My boy is growing up, but he does not look or act his age in any shape or form, which is a good sign. He is all recovered from being sick last week and is very happy that the snow is gone and to be going back outside.

Last week was a whirl of activity, as it led up to the 5th Annual International Gay Polo Tournament. The event that I had been working on for the past six months was finally here. Everything was perfect. It went off with only a few glitches, all of which were handled and solved without issue. Joe came and helped out which was huge.

I spent the day walking around and making sure everything was going smoothly. I also helped with the merchandise table and was able to walk around with Julie and Karen a bit, putting some more names to faces.

We finally got some photos together, thanks to Meg's fine photography skills. I even think Joe had some fun, in between all the work of course :)

There is tons to talk about from the weekend and I could go on and on, but I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Check out more at my facebook page, or at gaypolo's facebook page. As stressful as the weeks leading up to the event were, it was totally worth it.

The Arabian Nights Tailgate went all out for the event.

The Nascar tailgate even brought in a real car.

This weekend, I also signed a lease for Dixie. So now, I have a pony for the year! I am very excited, as now I can ride when I want, and not have to go off of someone else's schedule. This also means that maybe I can show this summer.

There is definitely more that I could talk about, but like I said, a picture is worth a thousand words, so this post will speak for itself.
