Time For Some Catch Up
This time last year, I was done with my internship and had been back in PA for quite some time. This time around, I am still in sunny Florida and can say that I am not going back to the cold north. Not when it is April and snowing in Allentown and 80 and sunny in Wellington. I am very happy right here. However, I was a little homesick as it is the start of Passover and all my family is together and I am here. But Joe's family made my first Passover by myself as god as it could be. His mom got everything I could think of and we had our own version of Passover, so it was nice.
Now, to get everyone caught up on what else has been going on down here in Welly-World.
Last week as an end of season treat, Mason took the entire PMG team plus significant others, on a Dinner Yacht Cruise down the Inter-coastal. It was the perfect night, not a cloud in the sky. Everyone was able to come and it was a great way to end the hectic season. A relaxed night on the water, where everyone could hang out, drink, eat and talk.
As a thank you to the interns, Mason set up a lesson with Debbie McDonald (an Olympic dressage rider) for Meg and a lesson with Kent Farrington (the top US ranked rider) for Ann. I was able to go take photos as her lesson and it was so cool to meet him, first off and I loved just being able to listen and watch him teach.

The day that Ann had her lesson, my roomies and I decided that we were going to have a beach day, since it was the last (and only free weekend) that we had all together. Kendall is now currently in France for a horseshow, Rebecca has since gone back to New Hampshire, and soon Emily hits the road for the summer traveling for shows. And I am here in Florida. But I can't complain too much, as I am in Florida, have a horse to ride, and will be going back and forth to PA with some side trips thrown in :)
Anway, now that I am finished with my traveling tangent, back to the beach. We went to the dog beach since of course we brought Leila with us. I think she had the most fun out of all of us, digging all day long and making friends with the other puppies. I was very happy to lay in the sun and soak up some rays. I am determined to be tan by the time Joy and Katie get down here to visit. 15 days and counting :) :) :)
In the meantime, while I wait for the girls to get here, and attempt to keep track of my roommates' schedules, work is finally slowning down. Almost to a snails pace. Which is good in some ways, but bad in others. I like being busy and when I am not, I tend to get a little bored. The good thing is that I can skip out a little early and go ride. Since I now have a horse ! Dixie is so good. I am not quite attached to her yet, since I am still getting to know her, but I do think in a few weeks, I'll think of her as mine, just as Charlie and Golfo were.
Speaking of ponies.... Pudge is wonderful. Mom went to see him and he is doing great. Which is always a good thing to hear. One month and I get to go home and see him. I miss my baby.
The last thing to catch up on, is a big congrats to both my cousin Sarah as well and my friend Eric, as they are both now engaged!!! I am so excited for both of them and even more excited because I was asked to be one of Sarah's bridesmaids.
That is it for now. Happy Passover everyone and I promise to keep you updated on all that happens in horse heaven :)
