A Much-Needed Staycation- Just What I Needed

So, right after I posted my last blog post, Joy, Katie, Ilya and Rob arrive from PA. Seeing friends from home was a welcome sight and I was so happy to see them. It's been about five months since I have seen them and a visit was way overdue.

After a quick tour of my house, we headed to Delray Beach and the apartment, where we dropped off our stuff, changed into bathing suits and headed to the beach. Lunch at Bostons and a sunny afternoon in the sun was the perfect start to the weekend. Let me say, the sun takes a lot out of you. I wasn't traveling, but even I was tired by the time dinnertime rolled around.

I think all of us were in bed by 10 pm, old people we are haha.

However, this just meant that by Saturday, we were all refreshed and ready to go. The weather, wasn't. :( But it was the only cloudy day we had, when it was supposed to be gross all weekend, so we did luck out on weather.

Sunday was the perfect beach day, not a cloud in the sky. That did mean lots of time to tan... and in all of our cases, a bit of burning. It wouldn't be a vacation if you didn't get sunburn.

Mainly, it was a weekend of catching up, hanging out and relaxing. Everything I needed. Most of all, I needed my friends down here. It had been way too long and that trip was way past due. Now the countdown begins until the next one. :)
