O The Places You Will Go...

I know that my blog posts have been few and far between lately, but things have been a little crazy lately (or I am just being lazy.)

Last week, I finally made the trek back north for a few days. After not being home for five months, it felt so nice to be home, even after an almost three hour delay in the Charlotte airport. I think that the airport secretly wants to keep me there every time I fly through, as I am almost always delayed. I got home and was greeted with kisses by Bruno and Bailey, who then proceeded to take up my entire twin, yes twin, bed, leaving minimal space for myself to sleep.

But, I was not about to kick them out, as I missed them way too much to miss any time with them. On Thursday morning, the first thing on my 'Being Home To-Do List' was to go see George.

So, after acquiring Bubby's car, I made the drive to the Poconos to see my boy. I missed him more than anything and was beyond happy to see him.

I groomed him up, and after what looked like we killed a baby bunny, from all his shedding, he was looking gorgeous. He does not look a day over 16, the old man he is and it makes me so happy to see him being taken care of and loved on when I am not there.

We went outside and grazed for a while, walked around the outdoor ring and then ran around the indoor for a bit, visiting with the mini ponies. The visit was not as long as I would have liked, as I could have spent all day with him, but I had a car to return. So he got lots of kisses and cookies until I see him again when I go home next.

I was also able to see Katie Thursday night, when we went for dinner. And where else would we go, but Applebees. Switch it up and go somewhere new? No that would make sense. The two weeks since I had seen her when she came to visit seemed like forever ago, as we had lots to catch up on so it did not even matter where we were eating.

Friday, Benjamin, Mom, Dad, Bubby and I made our way to Ithaca, NY, where we met up with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Robynn for Noah's graduation from Ithaca College. He did it!!! My little brother is officially a college grad. But before he could graduate, there was a fun-filled family weekend to be had. We had lots of family meals, went hiking (to a mud-filled gorge), shopped and the most fun... went wine tasting. Only me, Mom, Dad, Noah and his girlfriend Chelsea went to the wineries, but we had a good time. They were right on the lake and the view was gorgeous aka Ithaca is Gorgeous.

Sunday rolled around and it was time for graduation. We made it just in time to see Noah walk into the stadium. We stood in the back of the stadium, but were still able to see him. He did not walk across the stage, which I thought was a disappointment, as the entire school graduated together. Instead. each college just stood up and sat down; made for a shorter ceremony, but not as exciting. After graduation, Noah and his roommates held a BBQ at their house, and then it was time to head back to Allentown.

I flew back to Fl on Monday, but not before I had breakfast with Kelsey, who also graduated on Sunday, but from University of Rhode Island. I am so proud of both of them :)

I am glad to be back in the warm weather as it was a bit chilly up north, especially in NY. But I was very happy to be home and see everyone. I miss my family and it had been a much-needed trip home. Hopefully the next trip won't be so far apart.
