Seeing the Solar Bears Up Close and Personal
In my last blog post, you heard all about how I jumped out of a plane. Well, my fun Saturday didn't stop there.
Since we were already in the Orlando area, Tiff, Joe and I went to the opening game of the Solar Bears. As described to me, they are a minor, minor league team, but we had so much fun. Erin, Tiff's best friend from Boston, now works for the Solar Bears and was able to get us free tickets for the game.
But not just any free tickets- we ended up sitting right on the ice. Like I said, up close and personal. I am already way ahead of my hockey-watching from last year. I saw one live game last season and this year I am already at two, and the season is just beginning.
The game was so much fun. I am still getting into hockey. Yes, I know what is going on, but I do not get riled up and jump up and down like all the other fans. This game was different. The crowd was electric ans there was so much going on. Plus, like I said, we were right at the edge of the action. We had a perfect view of the ice and all the fights that happened. Best part about hockey right?
So it ended up being a perfect Saturday that is going to be hard to beat.
On another note, Emily and I have a new roommate. She drove back from Pennsylvania this week and brought her golden retriever Tucker back with her. So I finally have a dog to play and cuddle with :)
