Halloween And a Quick Update on Life
So Halloween came a little early to West Palm this year, even if this blog post is being written a little late.
Last weekend Joe, Tiff and I went to Moon Fest in down West Palm. Our trio was definitely smaller than our group last year, but throughout the night we met up with more friends :) I'm not sure if it is just that I am getting older or that this year was just different. But there were not as many people out and about this year and thankfully, we didn't end up drinking as much.
The group of us, once we met up with Kendall and co., bar hopped our way down Clematis until we were tired and ready to go home. We had a great time and celebrated Halloween the right way, but it was definitely a different atmosphere than last year.
Like I said, maybe it is just that we are getting older, but none of us will ever be too old for Halloween as it is one of the best holidays ever.
This week was crazy, even with everyone in the office being at the Kentucky Horse Park for National Horse Show. I took full advantage of the peace and quiet and got caught up on everything that I haven't had time to do. Now, I am mostly caught up before season starts.
Now for an update on the rest of life:
Classes: The semester is winding down with only one project left for each class. I have loved these classes and have learned so much. It's been great because I have been able to use the classes and the projects for work which is exactly what I wanted. Next semester, I don't expect to be as easy with my coding classes beginning.
Horses: The updates that I get on George are good. Mom says that he looks good and is jogging around the field. He is still stiff in his neck, but another round of acupuncture should help with that. He's getting older and as much as I don't want to admit that, I do need to think about it. Now, it's just making sure he's feeling good. Dixie Cup is doing wonderful. She is jumping like a champ and hopefully in the next two weeks we will be back in the show ring.
Joy: So Joy gave me the biggest scare ever last week. Joy, for anyone that doesn't know, is one of my best friends ever. Last week she found out that she has blood clots in her lungs and has to be home in Allentown for a few weeks and on blood thinners. Thankfully, she is doing ok, just bored as hell. haha. I told her I don't want any more scares. So, for now, things are ok and she's getting better.
That's about it for now. Getting ready for another busy week, but then I get a weekend home :)
