Picking Up and Moving Forward
So there have been a lot of changes going on in the life of Ari. The main thing, is that I am no longer working for Phelps Media Group. It's taken me a bit to actually tell many people, but I am starting to figure out what I am doing with my life.
For the last two weeks or so, I have been freelancing with Above the Rail magazine, an online equine publication. In addition to this new gig, I am still freelancing with Sidelines and am going to be working with Polo + 10 Magazine, an international polo publication, once season begins to pick up some more. I am looking for more freelancing work for the time being, so if anyone has anything, let me know :)
I have had a few interviews plus lots of applications, so now its just about the waiting game. I am keeping busy with my articles and class, which is done to my final two projects. With three weeks left of the semester, it is down to the final stretch of my first semester of grad school.

If anyone wants to check it out, look at my new online portfolio. Also, pass it along to anyone who might want to give me a job :) :) :)
On another front, Dixie is good. I took her to a show last weekend and unfortunately did not end up competing. As soon as we began schooling, Dixie came up lame. So back home we went and the next day she was back to her normal self. Even so, we are taking it easy and trying not to push it.
Georgie Porgie is also doing well. I was able to go home for a few days and spent most of my mornings at the barn with him. He looks great and doesn't seem to be in pain at all, which is a very good thing. He is getting acupuncture still and is going outside and looks happy and fat. I miss him and he's always going to be my baby boy.
The other boy in my life has been amazing. He was great when I needed to go home and get away for a few days and has been helping me non stop to look for jobs. In fact, he does probably half of the job searching :) He is my lifesaver and I don't know what I would be doing without him.
It's hard to believe that it's the end of November and Thanksgiving already. Unfortunately, I'm not able to go back home this quickly, but I will be spending Turkey Day with Joe and his family. Then, I get to experience my first stint in retail at Express (my favorite store ever) on Black Friday no less. So, if you are in Wellington, come visit me and buy things!!!
