WEF 2015 Has Arrived
Once again, I am very behind in my blog posts and my goal for the new year is to try to stay on top of them and blog once a week. I said goal.
Since the start of the year, everything has happened at once. I am still on the hunt for a job, but in the meantime, freelancing is keeping me busy. In addition to writing for Sidelines and Above the Rail, I have begun to work part-time for Anne Gittens, one of the horse show photographers.
For the past week and a half, I have been ring-side at either the International ring or one of the other jumper rings. I might not be employed full-time with an equine company, but there was no way I was going to miss being at WEF. I get my horse fix, make some money and network all at the same time. Perfect equation if you ask me. Check out the links to see some of my work :)
Besides work (or not work) classes have started and they are going to be a lot or work this semester. I am taking Web Design (basic coding) and Digital Imagery (Photoshop). It sounds relatively simple, but it is already a lot of work, only two weeks in. I have no knowledge in coding whatsoever, so I knew that was going to be challenging, but there is actually a ton about PS that I didn't know. As much work as it will be, I am looking forward to the semester and am on my way to my masters!
In not so wonderful news, Dixie is lame. Like really lame. She pulled her suspensory ligament and is off for three months. Not the news I was hoping for from the vet, considering my lease only goes till the end of March. With the news, I contacted the owners and Dixie is going home to retirement at the end of the month. Till then, I will spoil her like always and get her beautified to go home.
That's the latest here. Check back soon for more from the Sunshine State. Stay warm everyone up north.
