Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Barr; Wedding Season Has Begun

Love in in the air. Or maybe that's just the smell of suntan lotion since Summer is Finally Here! But seriously, this past weekend marked the start of the wedding season with my beautiful cousin Sarah's wedding in Boston.

I had been looking forward to this wedding for months and months and it was finally here. Not only did Joe and I get a mini vacation and a weekend away, but I got to see my whole family and he got to meet my whole family.

I was very excited to see everyone, especially Mom, Dad, Noah and Benjamin as it's been a few weeks. Plus, Joe got along with everyone great which was a huge plus :)

As soon as we landed on Thursday, Sarah swept us off to Rehearsal at the venue, Granite Links Country Club. Short and sweet, with a very pretty backdrop. Friday, Joe and I spent the day with Bubby wandering around Brookline, right outside of Boston. Once Mom and Dad got into town, it was time for the Rehearsal dinner at The Country Club. It was the swankiest (oldest) country club in the US and even though it wasn't very 'Sarah,' it was great for the dinner.

On Saturday, Joe spent the day with my family while I got beautified with the bride-to-be. Hair, make-up, mimosas and a few hours later, Sarah and her bridesmaids were ready to go. She was so calm the entire day until we got to Granite Links and she put on her dress. Then the nerves kicked in. She looked gorgeous though and the ceremony was perfect. It combined both our Jewish roots with Chris's Christian roots perfectly. After some photos, it was time to party. The reception was a blast. I haven't danced like that in a while and it was fun to see my family let loose too. Plus, I got to see Joe do the Hora and even had him smiling in a few pictures.

After brunch on Sunday, it was time to say bye to everyone and head back to Florida. It was a quick weekend, but very jam-packed and full of excitement and family fun.

The wedding season doesn't stop there though as Eric's is coming up soon in July in Virginia, then Julie is in November and the fun continues into next year!
The whole bridal party (L-R): Abi, Me, Bob, Megan, Chris (groom), Sarah (bride), Laura (Maid-of-Honor), Caroline, Matt, Christine, Matt, Alex.

While we were in Boston, my summer class started. For the next 11 weeks, I am taking my second web design class, learning about HTML5 and javascript. Another semester on the way and one step closer to finishing my Masters!

It's been very quiet in the apartment as Emily and Tucker headed up north until the end of June. I knew after living in Maryland that I never wanted to live by myself again and after two weeks of being in the apartment alone, I am once again convinced that I NEVER want to live by myself.

In the upcoming weeks, I will be traveling myself as well though. I am going back to PA for a few days in June and then start traveling for work throughout the summer. That's it for now but check back soon for more updates!!
