Sun Fest and the Start of Summer in Florida

I have been living in Florida for about two years now. For the last two summers, I have missed the biggest music festival in West Palm for one reason or another. This festival marks the start of summer in Florida and by the looks of it, it will be a very fun few months.

Cuz we're five and can't make real faces.
This past weekend was Sun Fest, held in downtown West Palm Beach and I was not about to miss out. There wasn't the best line-up, but a few bands that both Joe and I wanted to see. Thursday night we headed to Sun Fest to see Paramour. I have loved them since high school and they were just as good live as I hoped for. It was a very mixed crowd, but to be expected at such an event.

We went back on Saturday to walk around and there were so many vendors. It was as if a mini arts fair popped up in the middle of Flagler. Since it was a gorgeous day, we just spent the afternoon browsing and people watching. Emily met us and the three of us watched the 141st Kentucky Derby. American Pharaoh won and the race was neck and neck until the last few lengths.  It will be interesting to see how he does in the next two legs of the Triple Crown.

Yesterday was a long day of work, but it was another gorgeous day so I couldn't really complain about being in the sun. After work, I stopped at Joe's house and then we made our way back to Sun Fest for the Fallout Boy concert. We met up with Mike and Candace and Austin. It's nice to have coworkers that I can hang out with outside of work again. The concert was really good, as they played tons of old stuff and just enough new songs to still stay relevant.

Fall Out Boy!

Fireworks to cap off the weekend
It was definitely a fun weekend and if this is any prelude to what the rest of the summer will be, I am more than ready.
Wouldn't be complete without an updated photo of Pudge :)
