This post is very late, but I wanted to give an update on the last few weeks of 2015. It was a whirlwind of travel and time got away from you, hence no blog posts until now.
The week before Christmas, I traveled to Aspen, Colo. with ChukkerTV. I was super excited to go since it was my first trip with everyone, I was going to Aspen, and it would be snowing :) We were there for a week with three days of snow polo and even though we worked non-stop, I had a fantastic time.
Austin, Ally, David and I flew into Denver in a snowstorm and then had to drive to Aspen (a 3 hour drive took us 7 hours). Day 1 of the trip was just meetings and getting ready for the rest of the week. Ally, Mike, Dale and I went to the top of Aspen Mountain to shoot promo videos and it was gorgeous up there. I knew that the mountain was high, but from the top, you could see all of Aspen and around for miles. It was the perfect backdrop and the fresh snow was the icing on the cake. All I wanted to do was grab a pair of skis and go down the mountain, but I settled for the lift down.
On Thursday, games started at the Aspen Valley Polo Club. The indoor games were just the warmup that the teams and the ChukkerTV crew needed to get going for the week. The next few days were filled with snow polo at the Rio Grande Park in downtown Aspen. Set at the base of Aspen Mountain, the arena was smaller than I expected but the games were so much fun. All of the players were so nice and the broadcasts went off really well. We also had very good interaction and I think I got a few new people to start watching the games:)
With a long week in the snow done, I was ready for my week at home in PA. I hadn't been home in a while so I was very happy to get home and see my pooches and family. I was welcomed with doggie kisses and cuddles all week. My first stop of the week and every day after, was to see Pudge. he missed me and was full of energy. He looks to good and his neck is so much better than it was when I was home last.
I was also able to hang out with mom, dad and ben all week. We also went into NYC with Grandma and Aunt Robyn while I was home to see the Gloria Estefan show which was a lot of fun. Seeing Joy, Katie and Bethany was just the icing on the cake for the week. Like always, it was a whirlwind of a week at home but I was very happy for the trip. Now to get ready for polo season and classes!
