Puppies Puppies Eveywhere
I want a dog so badly, more than I can say. Yes, I have two monsters back in Pennsylvania, but that's it. They are in Pennsylvania, not Florida. I want a dog of my own that I can cuddle and play with and love. I'm thinking another golden, maybe a corgi, or an aussie. Any suggestions are welcome.
So to placate my puppy obsession, me, Joe, Emily and Rebecca took Leila to Paws in the Park in downtown West Palm this afternoon. They had tons of dog vendors, and rescues and an agility course that Leila could have blown though if it wasn't so poorly organized. I found a boxer mix that I wanted to bring home so badly, but unfortunately, now is not the time for a puppy. Not just yet. Joe found a terrier that he is in love with, but again, not the right time. Hopefully soon one of us can get a puppy.
The rest of the week wasn't super eventful. Last Sunday for the Super Bowl, we had a bunch of people over to the house instead of going out somewhere. That was fun as we had drinks, and food, and games. Cheaper and easier than a bar.
And while we are down here in sunny florida enjoying the nice 75 degree sun, everyone up north is enjoying their feet and feet of snow. I do miss the snow, but I think I will stick with the sunshine.
Especially since I can get up at 8 am and go ride and not be freezing my butt off.
I was able to ride twice last week, lessoning once and just riding once. Stephen, the assistant trainer at Castlewood is awesome. He teaches just like Kevin and pushes and gets after me about the same stuff. I think I am going to learn alot from riding with him and hopefully, find a horse to lease at some point, so I can start showing this summer. Not looking for anything soon, but at some point. However, as everyone knows. no pony could replace Pudge, who is enjoying himself in the cold frozen north.
Also, last night, Joe attended his first horse show. We went to the Grand Prix at WEF and it was a World Cup qualifier, so it was even more exciting. He got to see what the grounds were like and what the show atmosphere is like.
It is going to be a busy week, but this coming weekend, my parents and Benjamin are coming to visit. So until then, stay warm everyone and I'll send some sunshine your way!!
