A Very Wet Fourth of July

It wouldn't have been a summer day in Florida without a thunderstorm. Of course, that thunderstorm lasted most of the holiday weekend. Thankfully, the hurricane we were supposed to get over the July 4th weekend missed us and all we got some some heavy rain.

It was a very low-key 4th of July this year, but I was not complaining at all, as last year, I was on a plane on the 4th. This year, I am living in Fl and didn''t have to leave at the end of the weekend:) Since it was raining a majority of the time, we just hung out and spent a lot of time relaxing. Joe had a puppy for some of the weekend, but then for unseen reasons, we unwillingly took her back to the breeder. Hopefully, she gets better and who knows what will happen in the future. Everything happens for a reason, and Joe found out that he is a perfect puppy parent.

In addition to some puppy time, the girls and I had a mini-picnic at the beach for the holiday. We did get rained out though, and ended up spending most of the picnic huddled under a pavilion. It was still fun as we had the best people watching spot.

This weekend, was not only a nice relaxing three-day break, but also marked Joe and my one-year mark :* He makes me unbelievably happy. He is the best boyfriend I could ever ask for. Yes, we have had our ups and downs, but that's what happens in a relationship. We make it work and from day 1 when I saw him, we have clicked and I've known he's the one I want to be with.
Because I can't not have an updated picture of George :)
