Home Sweet Home

It's hard to believe that around this time last year I was packing my stuff up to move south. Now, I just packed up everything again, but only to move a few blocks. :)

I have been living in Florida for almost a year now and have loved every minute of it. For the past eleven months I've been living in Kendall's house and it's been great. Living with one of my best friends has been awesome but now it's time for her to have her own house. So Emily and I have moved out and into our own apartment.

Luckily, we aren't moving too far, just three blocks down the road. I had no idea how much stuff I had. How does someone accumulate that much over the span of a year? My room is beginning to look more like a room and less like a tornado came through and my clothing just landed everywhere. All my furniture (or lack thereof) is back in one piece and things are I am starting to find out where things are. Photos are still in boxes for the most part, but decorating will come in bits and pieces.

Our kitchen is starting to come along, as we have the basics. One thing: Always check when you move in to make sure there is a microwave. We did not have one in the apartment, and had to go buy one. Note to self: Always make sure there is a microwave, as it is a vital part of food preparation and survival.

The living room is coming along. We have some work to do, as far as decorating. And we still need to get/build a TV stand and have the couch cleaned. But it's a work in progress.

Other than that, life has been just organizing and getting in order. Like I said, I didn't realize how much I had, or how much I needed until I moved. One thing at a time, then it will all come together.

Classes are going well. My first project has been handed in and I am working on my second. The courses are relatively easy and I can use what I am learning at work which is good. This way I can practice for class and utilize what I am learning, best of both worlds :)

George is getting better. He is on a bunch of anti-inflammatory but I hear that he is in a much better mood and has been looking like he feels better. Anything that will help is good in my book.

This week I plan on getting back to the barn (in my routine at least) back to the gym (my once a week visit- I have been running in the park with Joe tho) and getting everything for class organized.

If I don't write before this weekend, Shana Tova and Happy New Year!
