Hurry Up and Wait

Hurry up and wait. That is the mantra of the horse world. Hurry up to get to the showgrounds, then wait for the class to start. Hurry up to get interviews for one class, then wait for the next one. And wait. And wait.

Not that I am complaining. I have lived in the horse world for years and am used to the routine. Plus I am meeting people that I have watched ride and admired their riding. I am seeing these amazing horses (that I want to bring home) and learning so much. The only downfall, is that I miss my ponies and want to ride a horse. Going from riding almost every day to not at all, is not my idea of a fun time.

But I am running and learning my way around Gleneagles. It really is pretty down here. Opposed to all of the lizards. They aren't only in my sink, but everywhere. They are the equivalent to the squirrels at Penn State or the deer in New Jersey.

In addition to the horseshow, I get the chance to attend some great events. This weekend, I am helping out at the JustWorld International Gala. The gala is a masquerade, so Emily and I went to buy our masks at a shady theatre shop. Its going to be fun though. There is also a Hoedown this weekend for the Big (& Little) Dog Ranch Rescue. Busy weekend.
