Back in the saddle
You would think I haven't been living on my own for the past month. My grandparents got here in Florida on Monday, and are acting like I don't know my way around. It isn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. I am not being suffocated. I have my own apartment, they are giving me space. They just don't seem to understand that yes, I can take care of myself. haha. Live and learn.
I took another lesson yesterday. It feels so good to ride again. Getting back in shape. Jumped a 3' course. It was the best feeling ever. It's just like riding a bike. Get on and go. I also found out that I might be able to show soon. Rebecca said that I could maybe show her horse Emry, so I am going to ride him next week and see how we get along! So overly excited. My new show clothes might actually get some wear out of them.
The show season is five weeks in and it is still hard to believe that I am here doing what I love. I was talking to someone today and explaining what I did and could not stop smiling. I see releases go out, end up in my inbox and think, I helped with that. At least twice a week I see my articles and photos up online and think how a month ago, I was only hoping to be writing this much. I have over the season to go, and it is only going to get busier, but bring it on! I can't wait.
| Saw this little girl at the ring on Wednesday. She was adorable; She wasn't even half the size of the saddle! |
