Happy Valentines Day!
It may be the most romantic day of the year, but I have never been a huge fan. Yes, I like getting flowers and baking brownies and getting chocolate and all that good stuff, but I still believe that it is a holiday for the card companies. I would happily go out for a nice dinner if I had a reason to and get all dressed up, but I also refuse to spend the money on a card that will be looked at for five seconds.

I do miss my valentines though. And there is a list. At the top, is George. He is always number one and I miss him immensely. I got so used to going every day after work to see him that not seeing him at all has been a little rough, but I know that he is being taken care of by my mom and valentine #2: Pete. This boy has been keeping me sane and spent an awesome week down here with me and I can't wait to see him again. I also woke up to a Happy Valentines Day text which made my day. Joy, my best friend ever and Eric, who has always been there, but now has his own valentine, have always been my valentines since the days when we were all single and would go out for our ice cream dates.

Might I add, that my boyfriend is awesome. Even from states away, he sends flowers and chocolate, after spending a day with my horse. I think I might be getting spoiled down here.
This year, since none of my usual valentines are with me, I spent the holiday with some new ones. After spending my day off with my Bubby and catching up on some work, I had a very romantic gym/dessert date with Kendall and Rebecca. The best coworkers I could ask for.
On Tuesday, I rode Emery, Rebecca's horse. He is so comfortable. We had a good lesson, even though we hit a few speedbumps along the way. When we went to jump some larger fences, he ducked out right at the first one, and then that became the trend for the rest of the lesson. Needless to say, I should have known better than to let him keep doing it, but we eventually worked through it and jumped the lines without problem. I don't know if I'll ride him again, I would like to. I would like to show him if I can. I got along with him, we just had a little misunderstanding. Lessons learned.
